Practical library organisation tips for COMA Media Server scans, duplicate detection, missing files, TV episodes, and clean backups.
Keep folders predictable
Use clear top-level folders for Movies, TV, Music, and Home Videos. Predictable paths make scans faster to review and support packs easier to understand.
Review duplicates before deleting
Duplicate groups may include renamed files, different editions, or accidentally copied media. Use Admin > Library Tools to review before merging or deleting.
Handle missing files carefully
Missing-file workflows should only be used after you confirm the file was intentionally moved or removed. Run Empty Trash last.
Back up before major changes
Before a large re-scan, import, restore, or repair operation, run Backup and confirm the backup folder is writable.
